November 15,
2004, Los Angeles, CA -- Rafa Sardina who
accepted an award for best-engineered album for "No Es Lo Mismo"
last year adds two more trophies to his Grammy collection.
Sardina's engineering/mixing work with Warner's top International
mega stars took the honors - Luis Miguel's "Mexico En La Piel"
won Best Ranchero Album and Alejandro Sanz' "Tu No Tienes Alma"
won Best Song and Record of the Year earlier this month at the sixth
Latin Grammy Awards.
Sanz,
who dedicated his award to his late father, beat a fellow Spaniard,
alternative singer-songwriter Bebe in both categories. "I dedicate
it to all of them who inspired me to do music," Sanz said.
Sanz who penned all the songs, co-produced
"No Es Lo Mismo" with musician/arranger Lulo
Perez. The album swept the Grammy show last year winning awards
for Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and
Best Male Pop Vocal Album. This is Sanz' 13th Latin Grammy Award
making him one of the top Latin Grammy winners.
Rafa engineered
the entire album between Miami, Los Angeles and Seattle. "Alejandro
is an amazing talent to work with. He's a master songwriter and
musician and I love working with him and his team who make my work
shine," says Sardina.
Sardina also

last year. The Latin Grammy for best engineer will be Rafa's 9th
