Number One In Spain!! Sardina mixes Orozco's new album on Universal Music

August 5, 2004, Los Angeles, CA -- A great New beginning for Universal's new rising latin star, Antonio Orozco.

El Principio Del Comienzo (New Beginning), Orozco's third and debut cd on Universal Music mixed by Rafa Sardina, surpassed Gold status in its first week of sales in Spain. "Working with Antonio is truly an inspiring experience. He's an amazing vocal talent and songwriter," says Rafa Sardina.

Rafa was called in to mix the album for Antonio in Los Angeles. "We had a blast finishing the vocals and mixing all the twelve songs at the Mix Room with longtime collaborators and producers, Xavi Perez and Tato Latorre," says Sardina. Xavi and Tato also produced Orozco's "A clock and a candle" and "Seed of the Silence."

Released on Mayt 31st 2004, the album gained Nº 1 position on the Spanish Album Charts for two weeks in a row and has sold the most discs in its first two weeks, according to Alef of Afyve (Spanish Phonographic/videographic Assoc).

Antonio's tour begins in Northern Spain and continues in Madrid (30 September), Barcelona (6 October) and Valencia (16 October).

Sardina engineered Alejandro Sanz' Grammy winning Album, No Es Lo Mismo (Best Latin Pop Album 2004 Vocal or Instrumental) and mixed five tracks for "33" (certified Platinum X5 and nominated "Best Latin Pop Album" 2004) by international artist, Luis Miguel. Sardina engineered "Meditteraneo" for Rendez Vous artist Marc Antoine and mixed Antonio Orozco's new album "El Principio Del Comienzo" (New Beginning) for Universal Music (Certified Platinum and Number One In Spain in its first week of release)!
Sardina also produced/mixed and engineered "Sin Querer" for singer/songwriter Ana Pozas' second album including the song "Si Es Por Tí" featuring a duo with Ana and the new Latin pop sensation, Alex Ubago.

An avid ProTool user (HD system upgrade) Rafa is currently working on an International Pop Star's most anticipated record in a Hollywood studio.
Sardina is always developing new artists and working in his private new studio, After Hours, due to go on-line later this year. Sardina enjoys Apogee, Manley, DUY, JBL, Avalon and Audio Technica products.
